My friends and I decided to go here on a thursday evening. The pub looked fairly standard from the outside and nothing out the ordinary. When we ventured inside, we were greeted by a sea of intoxicated members of the public. I didn’t like the idea of having to struggle through all these people to find the restaurant. When we eventually arrived in the ‘restaurant’, we had to find our own table. We were not shown to our table by anyone and was left to work out what to do for ourselves. The whole time we were there, nobody came over to our table to take our orders for food or drinks. They specifically classified this as a restaurant so i assumed restaurant rules applied. I had to wait at the same bar as the drunken members of the public which i found unprofessional and uncomfortable. I ordered food at the bar and it was fairly quick, tasty and well priced in all fairness. However, as we were about to eat, a booming voice echoed around the restaurant and we all discovered we had arrived on ‘pub quiz night’. Why was the pub quiz being stationed throughout the restaurant though!? We were trying to eat a meal, not play games. We ended up taking our dinner outside and got bitten by gnats throughout the whole experience. Will not be returning here. I found it to be very impersonal and poorly managed and set out.
