New Businesses Helping to Revitalise Hadleigh Town Centre

Lovely Home and Garden

In recent weeks, Hadleigh has seen two new businesses spring to life, these include the delightful store Lovely Home and Garden in addition to trendy bistro Café Yemek.

Lovely Home and Garden, situated at 217 London Road, opened on 23rd June and has attracted much interest from Hadleigh residents, providing the perfect place to purchase something unique for the home or even a thoughtful gift. Owner, Keeley Reynolds explained to Hadleigh.net why she chose the location of Hadleigh for her new store: “Living locally myself, I chose Hadleigh as it’s an up and coming area and I knew it needed a shop like this.”

Located in the premises once occupied by The Laundry Basket, Lovely Home and Garden provides a touch of refinement to Hadleigh. With new businesses opening, there is hope that this will promote the revitalisation of Hadleigh further. Store owner, Keeley added: “I feel the opening of Lovely Home and Garden has coincided well with the Hadleigh regeneration.”

Cafe Yemek, situated on 3-7 Rectory Road, is set to open on 1st August and has seen a complete renovation in record timing. The café will be selling delicious breakfasts and lunches, including a wide range of freshly made sandwiches and vegetarian cuisine. Owned by Serdar Gulejoglu, Café Yemek has taken over the premises formerly occupied by The Bay Tree.

The Laundry Basket and The Bay Tree are just a few in a string of shop closures, others include; S.J. Neal Fishmongers and The Sweetest Thing which have closed in recent months, whilst large convenience store Costcutter closed down back in March, after just eight months of trading.

Changes occurring in Hadleigh as part of the continuing regeneration project include creating ‘a great mix of attractive shops and businesses to make Hadleigh town centre an attractive place to shop and relax’. Here at Hadleigh.net we hope businesses such as Lovely Home and Garden and Café Yemek help to do precisely that and we wish them both lots of luck in their new venture.
